Most music lovers should know of Tony Hymas great keyboard work with Jeff Beck & also know the name Terry Bozzio from Beck's Grammy-winning Guitar Shop cd, as well as Terry's incredible 4 limb independence drumming style from the supergroups like FZ - UK - Black Light Syndrome, etc. This music while being from the early 90's, is timeless, still fresh today & exciting. Add to the mix the incredible guitar work of Hugh Burns, and the brilliant horns of Tony Coe, and you have The Lonely Bears, a group that unfortunately only got true recognition AFTER these (3) LB cd's had long been released & were mostly out of print. This is a music that defies catagorization. Sure you can call it a blend of Jazz / Fusion / World / Experimental, but don't concern yourself with those labels, just breath in the brilliance these four bring out in each other and your best start is by first purchasing The Best of The Lonely Bears! I myself never understood why these bears would be lonely?
